Farewell to Angela Smith AGM6th December 2016
Our FOLSS AGM was a landmark event this year with Angela Smith stepping down as chair after 3 years at the helm, steering the good ship FOLSS through many successful fundraising events. Angela led the meeting highlighting what a positive year it’s been with FOLSS once again being able to support the school with vital funding for the pool and also provide wet play boxes, heat retaining door panels for KS1 and A2 guillotine’s for KS1 and KS2, so larger art pieces can be displayed within school, amongst other commitments. Appreciation was expressed to all the pupils, parents/carers, local community and everyone who has supported our fund raising efforts again this year. The FOLSS members were keen to thank Angela for all her hard work and commitment to FOLSS over the years – we hope she knows how much we all appreciate the time she has put in to making FOLSS the great success it is!
Then it was on to electing the committee for the coming year, happily we had lots of willing members to fill all the posts with Jo Byrne accepting the Chair role. So here’s to another great year with lots of exciting new ideas for raising money and providing some fun events for everyone to enjoy.
