Keep fit, keep happy, improve your mental health over this summer holiday!
We are challenging each pupil of Leonard Stanley Primary School to walk 30miles over the summer break – let’s do it!
In order to help raise much needed funds for our school, we are challenging our school students and their families to walk 30 miles over the summer holidays – over a six week break, that’s an achievable five miles per week. So even if you do half a mile to the park and half a mile back count it, it will all add up. Get your friends a family to sponsor you, and hey presto we’re raising money while having fun.
Walking not only gets everyone enjoying the great outdoors, it also helps and supports mental health and encourages exercise, equalling a happy healthy life style If a child see their parent taking part in any form of exercise it will also encourage them to be fit and healthy in the long run.
So, over the summer holiday log any bit of walking you do, get grandparents, family and friends to sponsor you any amount – whether it’s per mile or a total of X – and return the FOLSS Summer 2021 Sponsored Walk – sponsor form plus money during the first week back to school in September (please put forms and money in an envelope, with your child’s name and year on the front, by Friday 10th September).
Good luck and enjoy!
